Trendspotting: Curvaceous-Legged Tables

This elegant, warm, and feminine office featured in the latest Traditional Home stopped me in my tracks. Specifically, that desk! With its exaggerated, bulbous legs. What a brilliant way to feature such striking curves; to set the dark silhouette against the glowing backdrop. I immediately coveted it.

So, where's a gal to source one of these lovelies? This version on Alice Lane is pretty, but will set you back nearly two G's. Pretty, but no can do.A quick search on Ebay yields some styles with potential. I'd touch this one up with a darker stain, and drop the leaves down to use as a great entry table for a small space. Still, it's more barley twist than truly curvy.

I think you could really work some magic on this small, corner version - Buy it Now for SEVEN DOLLARS, people!

Again, this one doesn't offer the same unique silhouette, but I do love the ebonized finish.

Not quite the perfection I seek, but totally do-able, and I trend I can certainly handle more of.

I spied these candy-colored lamps during a recent Ebay search. I like how the cheery colors lighten up their traditional lines. They're petite little dudes (15"), but absolutely perfect for pulling in an accent color on bookshelves or another small niche. My only problem - deciding which color is my favorite!

I've been eyeballing this 10 lb lot of deer antlers on Ebay... I know, what in the world will I do with TEN POUNDS of deer sheds? Well, lots of things...but, that's another post - point is, I WON THEM! Now, deer sheds have really come into vogue in the last 5 years or so, and the price has (predictably) followed the trend, so I've been a little anxious to get these things in - what I paid almost seems too good to be true... Here's the pic provided by the seller on Ebay - so you can see it does look like quite a bit... but I keep thinking they'll show up and be something really cheezy.

I got the little USPS notice today that they're waiting to be picked up - Now, just need to figure out what creative little description I'll enter on the customs form when I ship them back to Brazil?? I'll keep ya posted...
