It has been overcast, gray, drizzly and cold since we arrived in Texas. Yes, it "feels" more like Christmas than it did in Brazil, but seriously, Where's the Sun???
I'm guessing Seasonal Affective Disorder will be kicking in soon for some people, but I don't imagine the owners of these spaces will be among the afflicted.
Every home needs a perpetually-cheery room, and a south-facing window, no?I'm guessing Seasonal Affective Disorder will be kicking in soon for some people, but I don't imagine the owners of these spaces will be among the afflicted.

I'm a decorator, wife, and busy mom of three. I believe in elevating the average space, and bridging the great design divide. I love homes, and aspire beyond builder-grade blah. This blog chronicles our own home projects, what inspires me, and sometimes, just what's on my design-track mind. Taking ordinary homes to higher levels is my little happy place.

Yes! I really love the first one...having sun in at least one room of the house is a must!
beautiful! i love keith johnson's kitchen. and that morroccan one from elle decor. that's been in my insp. files for a while.
it's miserably gray and rainy here too. ready for a little sunshine myself.
Love the first room!
The ceiling beams in that second photo are incredible. We don't get a lot of natural light in our house and it makes me crazy!
I adore the two rooms with wallpaper (especially the first!). And yes, weather here has been AWFUL -- cool, dreary, misty, foggy, blech. I'm so ready for this London-esque weather to be done!
The second photo is perfect! I'll have to revisit this entry in mid-January ...
Yes! An ever-sunny room is just what the doctor ordered! These Houston grey's are not very pretty...
The wall paper in the first one is so fun and bright, I would love that room in my house
