My kitchen is wallpapered now. It's the original from when the house was built in the early 1970s. You'd be hard-pressed to tell. I'd love to keep it, but it's not in the best shape.
I doubt that I'll re-paper due to the difficulty cleaning it. And I want a Moroccan tile backsplash which will be pattern enough.
I guess it would depend... not anywhere too close to the sink or stove. My parents have their eat-in portion of the kitchen wallpapered, and they haven't had any problems ever... I think it's been up for at least 10 years too...
If I found the right paper, I would. My mom no longer has paper in her kitchen but at one time had a Ralph Lauren paisley paper in there and it made it feel so warm & cozy.
I think I would wallpaper a kitchen before I would put a fancy crystal chandelier in there...just too hard to clean if you really like to cook. Looks pretty though. Mary Ann
While I love the look of it in this photo, I wouldn't do it. We had wallpaper in the kitchen of our old house before we remodeled and it was coming off and stained. I prefer paint.
An accent wall might be fun! I wouldn't recommend wallpaper around the sink or stove though. Althought some wallpaper vender are making "wallpaper" out of natural stone!
Yes, in a second! One because I LOVE wallpaper, and two, because I think the kitchen is the prettiest room in my house and what pretty rooms isn't complete without wallpaper?? :)
I'm DYING to wallpaper. That kitchen is gorg. White cabinets and a warm wallpaper. Just screams for my morning coffee and blog stalking. Maybe a dining room or powder bath to stay away from food stains.
I'm a decorator, wife, and busy mom of three. I believe in elevating the average space, and bridging the great design divide. I love homes, and aspire beyond builder-grade blah. This blog chronicles our own home projects, what inspires me, and sometimes, just what's on my design-track mind. Taking ordinary homes to higher levels is my little happy place.

I probably wouldn't, but if I moved somewhere and it had been, and it looked good, I;d def keep it!

That kitchen above is gorgeous though!

Totally would but the hubby totally wouldn't got for it... wonder how that conversation would play out?
Yes, but it would have to be the right one. I love that picture and the way the room feels so warm.

I say yes..yes..yes. If I knew I were to stay in a home for longer than a few years, I'd do it in a minute. This example is so stunning.
I love it when you hear a Realtor say that wallpaper is out of date. From the 80's you betcha from the 21st century no way!
Sending you much holiday cheer!!

I love wallpaper and am so glad it is coming around again. My kitchen still has a border from the 90's that is perfect!

Hm, probably not.
In a few choice words: spaghetti sauce.
