Pint-sized soirée

Parties for the pint-sized people in our lives always tend to be a little crazy, but we did our best to create a pretty but fun look for my favorite 3 year-old.

Not exactly a mag-worthy candy bar, but it made the kids happy.

Aaaand...we're done.

***Yesterday, as I read the horrific post about fellow blogger, Marija's, sudden death on Saturday, I was again reminded about the Universe's strange cycle. DSC_1737
As my family rejoiced in the celebration of another year of our child's life, another family's life was devastated. There just aren't words. Peace be with you, Marija.

That's a beautifully fun table!

My 3 1/2 year old has the same swimsuit - very Marimekko.

Great party! When I saw the picture of Ben on Avery's blog the tears rolled. I'm so happy he was able to be with you guys to celebrate.

What a great party - I bet she had a ball!

I had not read Marija's blog before you posted this today. How very sad. I feel like I've been missing out on this jewel of a blog and then to come across it this way is not quite right. What a wonderful tribute that her husband wrote. He and her kids will be in my prayers.

I love the bright colors you selected for the party. Perfect for a little girl's birthday celebration.

I too was saddened to hear of Marija's passing. What a tragedy.

This looks like it was a HAPPY birthday! And I do like that candy bar! Baby Isla is getting so big. Love seeing pictures of your girls.

I read about Maija...my heart breaks. She lived only a few miles from me.
