works for me! i was in anthropologie today trying on dresses and in their dressing room was THE most awesome high back tufted settee i have ever seen. i couldn't bring myself to look at the price though.
I love how sophisticated yet intimate and charming this is. I could see myself having a sunday brunch or a tea party with my neice, absolutely adorable...and now I want one!
i would absolutely recover it in those chevron fabrics..they are divine. i just stumbled upon your blog..its adorable. i am a native texan too, living in california, but maybe id rather be in brazil...
awesome! looking forward to reading your blog more... and adding you to my blogroll
Ah, I'm still smarting over a banquette I saw on Craigslist two years ago! I still think about how much more cozy my dining area would be. I love your "Kitchen Casbah" idea. Would definitely be great for dinner parties. Happy New Year!
I'm a decorator, wife, and busy mom of three. I believe in elevating the average space, and bridging the great design divide. I love homes, and aspire beyond builder-grade blah. This blog chronicles our own home projects, what inspires me, and sometimes, just what's on my design-track mind. Taking ordinary homes to higher levels is my little happy place.

Oh boy... I like both options! I am working on a "Banquette"-ish dining room right now in my own house... I'll have to post pictures soon!
Love your vision Alison and I wish I was more open to prints...maybe in 2010 I'll finally get there.
I love that Quadrille fabric! In fact, I love any Quadrille fabric...
I want a settee at my table too - Love!
Oh I just love that little banquette and that fabric choice is awesome, you cant go wrong with that pattern in any color!

That would be so, so, SO cool. I love that zig zag print, especially in the navy and orange colorways and either would look amazing with that chair.
I love your fabrics!! I am seeing more in magazines where regular old couches are being pulled up to the table with chairs. It looks fabulous!!

Ok, I think I might love the pendant in that picture. Do you by any chance know who makes that?
Love the chairs, by the way.
