Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin recently purchased the home adjacent to their current London abode, and are now in the process of connecting the two properties to make one, large manse. After renovations, the property will have a total of 33 rooms for their family of four. I imagine several of the shelter glossies will be lined up, waiting to feature the sure-to-be-fabulous interiors.

Gwyneth does seem to have a little bit of trouble with the "practicing which she preaches", doesn't she? It's not the first time Mama Goop has had this problem.
But who knows? Perhaps they're building everything to be super green. I'm sure we'll find out once their expansive home is finished.

33 rooms?? My, my. (I can't wait to see though)
I heard something interesting the other day; that we typically only use 2-3 rooms in our homes (with the exception of bedrooms which aren't really 'used'). That is absolutely true for us! We really only use the kitchen/dining room, and family living room. What is it that makes people think they need 33 rooms? That seems almost immoral to me!

I'm sure it will beautiful, she does have a good sense of style, but SERIOUSLY.
33 rooms, I would have no idea what to do with all that space! I would just like to have maybe 2-3 extra rooms, you know a large laundry room for hang drying and folding, a craft room, and a large walk in closet. I think that will do me quite well :)
33 rooms, that's insane. She does have great style, lets hope the construction will be green.
We are moving from a 2000 square foot apartment to a 600 square foot apartment.
Am I sad ~ no. We spent 14 years living in a small apartment. It was great.
There were times I felt that the large apartment was too much space for us.
That said, english houses are MUCH smaller than American ones, and a 6x9 'bedroom' is not uncommon. A square footage would give you a much more accurate idea of what is going on than a 'room count'
