Ghetto or Genius?

Upholstery Fabric Spray Paint... from here

Gets decent reviews. Would you do it?

  1. Maybe a little of both? Don't think I'd attempt it but if you had an ugly chair with good lines, maybe it would be worth a try.

  3. On the right piece of furniture, I would do it! Always good to experiment :) I did see a great chair painted floating around blogland.. that teal/blue one.. did you see that one?

  4. Tough call. I am inlined to so very ghetto but I can always be swayed by a beautiful project so I'll wait until I make my call:)

  5. I would love to see samples before trying. Will it make the fabric more stiff

  6. i think using it along with a stencil like a big stamp on the back of a chair or a smaller stencil used all over to create a pattern would be very modern. Go for contrast- traditional stencil on modern fabric or visa versa...

  7. So glad you posed this question. I found this online and have been very curious. Think ima try it on a piece that I am considering reupholstering anyway - that way if its too ghetto I don't care. Wish they had more color options.

  8. Try it on something small ... I like what Laura said, probably best to use it as a "punch" not the whole thing! Can't wait to see what you do!

  9. I've been thinking about painting an upholstered chair - saw the same one Elisa did. It's one that I would probably get reupholstered, but don't want to spend the money just yet and can't really decide what color to do anyway. So if the paint is a major fail, well, I was going to reupholster anyway. And if it works, I can use that money for another project!
