I found a great, big, sturdy coffee table for $48 at an estate sale. I almost didn't stop b/c I had my two little ones with me, but I heard my husband in the back of my head that I should check it out. Can't wait to see what you do with your chairs. I have the exact same ones with my dining set and they are in desperate need of a makeover!!

You found some treasures indeed. Is the lamp milk glass? I have two matching Warren Kessler lamps that I got at Salvation Army for $10 each. They are the same lamps that President Truman had in his home. I could tell they were well made lamps and the milk glass has such a wonderful gleam to it. Can not wait to see what you do with yours. I found two great linen drum shades at Target for mine and it really freshened them up. Kathysue
I think you may have gotten a slightly better deal than I did on my Craigslist chairs, but they look similar. I spruced mine up with some white paint and new fabric (you can check them out here: http://myinteriorlife.blogspot.com/2010/01/before-and-after.html). I love our Habitat store; very hit or miss but definitely worth a look.

I've been in ours several times and it is just junk. Too bad, it isn't even anything someone would want for free. Your chairs and lamp are just fabulous. What great finds. Hugs, Marty
